Master Control Operator KIVI TV Nampa, ID Scheduled Days & Hours: Full-Time Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational school education helpful. Skills: Operate VTRs(Beta and DVCPRO), Master Control switching and routing. Must be able to read and interpret Waveform Monitor / Vectorscopes and ensure proper video and audio levels are maintained. Must possess basic computer skills. Familiar with Television Automation Systems (such as Crispin) helpful. Familiar with Pathfire, VYVX, DG SYSTEMS, Satellite Antenna controllers, Compu-Sat, C-Band, Ku-Band, digital vs analog, etc. Experience: Minimum 2 years in TV Master Control. SBE C.T.O. certificate a plus. Duties: Responsible for all on-air operations during shift. Switch breaks for multiple TV stations in an automated, central-cast environment. Assist various departments as required, for example: dialing in News live-shots, assisting Traffic, Sales, Promotion, News and Production departments as needed. Schedule, record, and ingest commercials and segment/sub-clip syndicated programs as required. Monitor and adjust audio and video levels to ensure FCC compliance, take transmitter readings, run EAS tests as required. This is not an entry level position.
