Education:
High school diploma required; college degree in related field preferred
Skills:
Strong initiative; reliable, excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage several tasks simultaneously; excellent organizational skills and follow-up; Experienced in audio production. Strong problem solving abilities; ability to meet deadlines; keen understanding of sports and sport events, operate studio equipment, computer proficiency. Experience with Adobe Audition and Wide Orbit (Scott) Automation is a plus. Valid driver’s license required
Experience:
Previous radio board operation and show production experience preferred.
Duties:
Execute air-shift format and commercial program logs with some production duties; produce live broadcast, operate broadcast console for sports play-by-play, remote broadcasts, and local talk shows. Assist in preparation for live broadcasts. Operates control board and associated equipment for studio and remote programming. Regulates timing of program. Off-air support of on air host and co-host. Gather information and content for show. Book and schedule guests. Produce and prepare materials necessary for on-air product including all audio and necessary imaging, commercial production duties. Maintain current information and archive materials on station website.
Monitor any updates in the sports world. Completes and submits timely network affidavits and maintains records relating to network barter commercial inventory. Follows and enforces FCC regulations, station and company policies, including implementing station's/state's EAS procedures and has knowledge to perform during an FCC inspection. Other duties as assigned.
