Tape Editor (Part-time) KTNV, News 13 Las Vegas, NV Employment Status: Part-Time Education: High School Diploma required; College Degree with Journalism emphasis preferred. Skills: Candidate must be able to edit compelling video and audio for television news; have solid knowledge of editing equipment; demonstrate strong news judgment; demonstrate strong problem solving abilities; show high work ethics; ability to meet on-air deadlines; detail orientation. Experience: Previous professional experience editing video or in related field strongly preferred. Duties: Edit tape for broadcast; coordinate and record incoming news feeds from networks, local crews and other sources; coordinate with newscast producers in selection of compelling video and sound for headlines, teases and news stories; operate TelePrompter and sort scripts; must also help tune in live shots and help with floor directing; handle all other tasks as assigned by manager.
