Education:
College degree in related field preferred; Journalism background preferred
Skills:
Candidate must have outstanding reporting, writing and on-air presentation skills; ability to package television news reports and live reporting skills under extreme deadline pressure essential; excellent written and verbal communication skills required; strong problem solving abilities; high work ethics and standards; ability to meet deadlines and detail orientation; must be able to work odd and extended hours and days to complete assigned stories.
Experience:
Minimum of two to three years prior broadcast reporting. Anchoring experience is a plus. This is not an entry level position.
Duties:
Producing live daily television news reports for inclusion in regular newscasts; must have sound news judgment and outstanding presentation, production and delivery skills; generate story ideas, cultivate news sources; fill in anchoring; must be willing to travel on a moment’s notice using various forms of transportation; other duties as assigned by manager Produce and post stories for our web site daily.
