Broadcast Maintenance Engineer – 2nd Shift
WRGB | WCWN has an immediate full time opening for a qualified broadcast maintenance engineer. Successful candidate will have at least five years’ experience working in a television station, two years maintenance. Must be a self-starter and able to work unsupervised. This engineering position is a first responder to help keep the news and on-air operations moving smoothly. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot under pressure and effect a repair or temporary solution to computer problems. Must have good inter- personal skills. Experience with computer networking in broadcast environments is a must. We seek an individual who knows master control and news automation. File based work flow and user/operator assistance skills are required. We need an engineer who knows FCC rules and regulations as well as EAS procedures. Other skills include remote broadcasting, HDTV audio and video formats, various communications protocols, ability to read system diagrams, satellite tuning, DENG/DSNG operations, possess ability to isolate problems and make corrections. Preferred skills are with Sundance automation, Ross Overdrive, Avid iNews, Harris Nexio and Velocity. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person. We provide an excellent engineering staff to work with and sharpen your skills. FCC license or SBE certification preferred.
