News Host 620AM – WTMJ Radio Milwaukee, WI Shift: Part-Time Education: College degree in related field preferred. Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; good voice quality that includes clear enunciation; ability to present your perspectives and insights on news and current events in an entertaining and informed way, relevant to our target audience; strong problem solving abilities; ability to lead an ensemble show; high work ethics, news judgment and production skills; ability to meet deadlines and detail orientation; ability to read news source material; operate studio equipment; general knowledge of radio station operation including the capacity to run an audio console and related equipment; computer proficiency. Experience: Must have at least three years of radio experience, preferably in hosting a news talk show and/or reporting; time spent in an entertainment role, helpful; background should show a deep, passionate interest in current events and interest in the people and community where you live and work. Duties: Host our Sunday morning news program; bring together the various information elements such as news, traffic, weather, sports, and other elements such as sponsorships; enter into discussions of news of the day and give direction to these discussions; produce recorded audio content; participating in station and community events; other duties as assigned by manager.
