NPG of Idaho is accepting applications for a high-energy weather anchor for its morning and noon newscasts.
The successful candidate would be responsible for creating the area’s most respected weathercast in the region and maintaining the station’s First Alert 8 weather brand. Local News 8 uses some of the most advanced weather technology in the market with Baron weather computers and its popular Omni system. Other valuable tools include a neighborhood weather network, sky cameras in four different locations and working closely with the National Weather Service, as we are an official NWS reporting station for the city of Idaho Falls.
Candidates must have an excitement for weather, be able to analyze weather data, develop graphics and present the weather as a story. Prior experience with weather graphics systems, a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, social media, email and ENPS is a plus.
