Scheduled Days & Hours:
Full-time
Education:
College degree preferred; Broadcast Journalism or Communication emphasis preferred.
Skills:
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and delivery skills; strong news judgment; must have strong news writing and production skills; excellent presentation and reportorial skills; knowledge of journalistic standards as related to the on-air presentation of news; must be able to work will under pressure and with others to develop and execute compelling newscasts; must be self motivated and creative.
Experience:
Minimum of two years on-air anchoring or reporting experience. Minimum one year as a full time anchor. Must have producing experience. Additional editing and video journalist skills would be a bonus. Experience with i-News a plus.
Duties:
Deliver morning newscasts; write/report for newscasts as directed; live shots or field anchor as needed; edit stories as assigned; make public appearances/community involvement; front station promos; develop contacts in the community and become involved in community projects, particularly those sponsored by the station; other duties as directed by management.
