Job Description:
The news director runs the news department. The news director assigns stories to reporters on staff, monitors the wire service and is involved with identifying the important news issues within the community.

Education Required:
Applicants must have a college degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field and experience in newsroom management. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance that is up to date. Most of all, you must be professional with the public and your co-workers.
Experience Required:
KRTV 3 in North Central Montana is looking for a News Director to lead the number one news team in the market. This person will oversee news content, budgeting and personnel. They will work out of Great Falls but also manage a four person reporter team in Helena. The News Director also oversees the station's web news content. We are looking for a proven journalist with exemplary people skills to lead 19 full-time employees and 15 part-timers. This is a great opportunity for someone to work with and lead an outstanding group of journalists in Montana.
